Synopsis:
Brimming over with style, intelligence and flashing wit, this splendid and irresistible film from director Rob Reiner (Stand By Me) is one of the best-loved romantic comedies of all time. Featuring dazzling performances from Meg Ryan, Billy Crystal, Carrie Fisher and Bruno Kirby, exceptional music from Harry Connick Jr, and an Oscar-nominated screenplay by Nora Ephron, When Harry Met Sally is an `explosively funny` (Newsweek) commentary on friendships, courtships - and other hardships - of the modern age.

Will sex ruin a perfect relationship between a man and a woman? That`s what Harry (Crystal) and Sally (Ryan) debate during their trip from Chicago to New York. And 11 years later, they`re still no closer to finding the answer. Will these two best friends ever accept that they`re meant for each other...or will they continue to deny the attraction that`s existed since the first moment When Harry Met Sally?

Your Opinions and Comments

7 / 10
This is one of those movies that makes you sigh softly and remember those fun (yet weird) years of the late 80`s.
While the movie did loose some of its charm over the years, it had still remained a solid comedy (that is, if you can regard a comedy as not being all that funny and instead - be realistic).
The video transfer is ok. While there are no compression sings, the transfer looks a bit pale, as if the source material has been expose to too much sunlight.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is ok, too. The surrounds are hardly ever used, but hey, Meg Ryan`s orgasm still sounds convincing (just goes to show what I know about women...;)).
The menus are animated with sound.
The extras include a commentary by the director, a behind the scenes featurette, 7 deleted scenes and a music video.
Bottom line - a semi-timeless comedy about the complex relationships and so-called relationships between men and women.
