Retail Price: $29.98
Release Date:

Synopsis:
Tora! Tora! Tora! is the Japanese signal to attack - and the movie meticulously recreates the attack on Pearl Harbor and the events leading up to it.

Opening scenes contrast the American and Japanese positions. Japanese imperialists decide to stage the attack. Top U.S. brass ignore its possibility. Intercepted Japanese messages warn of it - but never reach F.D.R.`s desk. Radar warnings are disregarded.

Even the entrapment of a Japanese submarine in Pearl Harbor before the attack goes unreported. Ultimately the day of infamy arrives - in the most spectacular, gut-wrenching cavalcade of action-packed footage ever. It`s the most dazzling recreation of America`s darkest day - and some of her finest hours.

The Japanese ultimatum to the American Government was issued 55 minutes after the attack on Pearl Harbor. When this was realized, Admiral Yamamoto predicted that because of their early action, the American Government would re-act as "an awaking giant full of resolve" and would re-act against Japan. Events prove this later on in World War 11 when 2 atomic bombs were dropped, one on Hiroshima and the other on Nagasaki.

The film depicts the build up of facts and information prior to the attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbor as collected and recorded by American Intelligence. The attack was on Sunday December 7th 1941 and it took the Americans by surprize as their communication system was not adequate and doubt of an attack by the Japs was the feeling at that time. The above event forced the USA into World War 11 and they fought alongside their allies both in the Pacific and in Europe.

Tora! Tora! Tora! A very good film indeed, must not be missed.
