True Lies has been one of my favourite movies ever since I first saw it the year after it came out. Arnie and Cameron really have a good chemistry and blow the screen to bits in many new and imaginative ways throughout the film. The action sequences alone deserve a `10` as they are absolutely first rate, even by todays standards. The storyline is a little bit of a mish-mash of events however, with sub-plots and tangents popping up left, right and centre. Fortunately, these didn`t really detract from my enjoyment of the movie as every minute was pulse-poundingly exciting. All the actors are great (yes, even Arnie!!) and there are some genuinely classic lines such as "kids: 10 seconds of joy, 30 years of misery" from Tom Arnold.

The picture is generally excellent, with just the slightest bit of grain exhibited in mainly white backgrounds. Sound is absolutely cracking and makes you feel like you were on set with the harrier jump jet!!! Amazing stuff.

No extras apart from trailer. `Nuff said.

James Cameron directs this brilliant comic spy/action/adventure. Harry Tasker has been a spy long before he got married. He has kept this fact a secret from his family all this time. Now he has a teenage daughter and his wife is bored of normal life. Things take a turn and both Harry and his wife are captured by terrorist and his secret is revealed. What is Harry more in danger of, the terrorists or his wife?

One of Arnies best movies ever. He is supported by a great cast that includes Eliza Dushku, Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold.

The picture quality of the dvd is an absolutely gorgeous anamorphic widescreen. The bitrate is very high throughout the movie. The sound also is great. The surrounds are well used in this DD 5.1 presentation. This dvd is bloody fantastic. The only dissapointment is the lack of extras.

There are talks of a five star collection 2 disc version of the film on the way so I would have to say wait for that as this version has no extras. Apart from that, this is a reference quality dvd. Dont rush out and get this now. Get the five star collection when it comes out.
