Your Opinions and Comments
I think, however, that it is a better drama than "Armageddon" is, since its plot is more about people and relationships and less about special effects.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs at all and the special effects really look great (and scaringly real).
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is excellent. The surrounds are constantly used and the channel separation is great. The sub gets a lot of workout in various scenes, and that`s a good thing.
The menus are all still and silent.
The disc has no extras at all. What a shame.
Bottom line - a very good "oh no, it`s the end of the world" movie with believable characters and a nice plot.
"Deep Impact" revisited - May 2003

Watching the movie for the second time, almost two years after initially watching it, was a very nice experience. The plot still remains solid, the characters - believable and the special effects - decent, yet not too overwhelming.
The video transfer is very good. I could not detect any compression signs and the picture is clear of any defects.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is very good as well. The surrounds do a good job throughout the movie.
The menus are still and silent.
Alas, the disc offers no extras.
Bottom line - a very good movie, nice visuals, great sound, but, alas, a bare disc. Still - recommended.
