Synopsis:
They should name a street or building after Detroit detective Orin Boyd (Steven Seagal). Instead, days after single-handedly throttling an army of political assassins, he`s busted to white-gloved traffic cop. Someone wants Boyd out of the way, someone who should follow this advice: call for backup.

Steven Seagal and DMX kick it up a notch in this searing action thriller from producer Joel Silver (The Matrix) that has them joining forces in a battle against police corruption. Andrzeg Bartkowiak (Romeo Must Die) directs, fusing starpower (including Isaiah Washington, Jill Hennessy and Tom Arnold), firepower and road-burning horsepower into scenes that push the action tachometer into the red zone.

Your Opinions and Comments

7 / 10
Nothing fantastic - but a good action movie nonetheless. There is some really cool action stuff in it, despite Steven Seagal getting on a bit now, and he is backed up by some good performances from the supporting cast - I was especially impressed with DMX.

The video is nice & crisp, and the audio is a nice DD5.1 with an excellent soundtrack from DMX. However, the extras are a little disappointing. The 19 min making of is a mix of interviews with the usual self-congratulatory stuff and some (but only some) interesting comments on the fight sequences and martial arts involved. There is also a 10 minute "Day on the set with Anthony Anderson" which is amusing in parts but if it ran any longer it he would have become VERY annoying! We also get a DMX music video which I quite liked, a trailer and a list of the principal cast & crew. Overall, a bit thin on the ground in terms of both quantity and quality.

Basically this is an above average action popcorn movie. Definitely worth renting but the poor extras may be a deterrent when considering buying this disc.
