Content

For an old film the content is excellent. Someone spent a lot of time picking up the cuttings from the Director`s floor! Watch the trailers, warp back to 1979 and what else had been out in this genre by this year and you will realise why so many people flocked to their local fleapit to see it.

Video

For an antique film by today`s standards the quality is pretty good.

Audio

Not up to today`s standards but still effective. No frills but who cares when the blood spills!

Features

Your gonna enjoy this part. Tons of stuff was cut out of the film and from these out-takes you can see why they did. For the first time you will be grateful for what the knifeman did. Alien could have been dreadful if they had left all this stuff in. Twenty odd years later and its fascinating - you see much more of the original Alien. How to make a poor film into a great film - cut cut cut.

Overall

Well worth buying on DVD. It just goes to show you don`t have to buy the new SCi-Fi`s to get you money`s worth.
