Review for WWE Best of 1997- Dawn of the Attitude 25th Anniversary

For some reason WWE have decided to re-release this DVD with an extra disk featuring an extra four matches and one extra moment. I am not sure whether this would make the set worth purchasing again. If you haven't already the original review is here. This set was pretty good and I did enjoy it.

The four matches (which do not include the original Hell in a Cell which I commented was missing) includes a bizarre match from Shotgun Saturday Night between Goldust and The Sultan. Shotgun Saturday Night was WWE's first attempt to be edgy and looks more like an ECW show and this is notable for Terri Runnell's using her 'assets' to distract and give Goldust the win.

From Wrestlemania 13 we have the No DQ Match for WWE Championship between Sycho Sid and The Undertaker which is a fine match and notable for the iconic sight of The Deadman bathed in purple light with the belt at the end.

Two matches feature Mick Foley against Triple H, first their great cage match from Summerslam followed by their Streetfight from Raw. This is memorable for the infamous Three Faces of Foley promo with Mick's Mankind and Dude Love characters introducing Cactus Jack which Triple H sold so perfectly.

Finally, we have a moment from Raw between Stone Cold and The Rock. Both are not quite where they would be a year later, but it was still great to see them interact.

If you did not purchase this when it was first released it would be wise to pick this one up. There are some great matches and the round table between Mick Foley, Ron Simmons, Kane, Shawn Michaels and The Godfather is great to listen to. This is definitely a set for those who want to see just why WWE won the war.
