Proof of Life is a breath of fresh air. It`s a film that has been badly over looked by critics and film fans, due to the off screen hype surrounding the romance of its lead stars.
Crowe plays Terry Thorne, a kidnap and ransom hostage nagotiator, who with an SAS back ground is employed in the rapidly expanding business of the international kidnap trade Subsequently, he is sent, with a twist - to aid Meg Ryan after her husband is taken hostage deep in South America.

The DVD picture is pin sharp and never falters during the course of the film and the soundstage is well used within certain situations.

This film delivers both action and doomed romance plus an ending that boys who like ` big guns ` will love.

Proof of Life is a film that will stand upto repeated viewing. A worthy purchase.
