Featuring a tense, atmospheric story which centres on Canton and the destructive power struggle between the official government, the emerging democracy movement and the rabidly xenophobic White Lotus Cult, this movie entered the record books as the 100th movie to depict the life of legendary hero Wong Fei Hung, making the series the longest running in movie-making history.
This movie has everything which made its predecessor such as success; a dynamic incorruptible hero brought brilliantly to life by Jet Li, a supremely talented supporting cast, beautifully conceived sets, stylish cinematography and breath-taking fight sequences.

Your Opinions and Comments
Jet Li once again takes the role of Wong Fei Hung and shows off both his acting and martial arts skills. The end fight with Donnie Yen (who puts in a good performance) is amazing shows both men at the top of their game.
HKL provide yet another great remastering job with this film as the picture looks excellent, and the sound for me is merely functional. The main extra here is another Bey Logan commentary which is excellent and informative. Top stuff.
It has themes of love, honour, friendship and tradition set against the backdrop of Industrialisation in China.
The story is simple but very effective, the acting, directing and soundtrack brilliant.
Importantly, the two major fight scenes have to be seen to be believed! Jet Li`s battle with the White Lotus master is technically and creatively brilliant and the same can be said of his amazing battle with Donnie Yen using staffs. Quite possibly two of the best movie fights ever in terms of their creativity and execution.
The DVD has a great transfer and useful extras. What are you waiting for? This is around a tenner online so BUY IT NOW.
The picture and sound like the first dvd are spot on and very good. Similar sort of soundtrack that mesmerises. Like the first disc, the extras are average and something needs to be done. Perhaps a long documentary on the entire series.
Overall great follow up in a great trilogy. Worth owning or renting at the very least. Once Upon A Time In China 3 is just as good as this movie/disc
