Synopsis:
Director Andrew Lau pushes the Triad boyz beyond the stylish street violence to scenes that explode with a force previously unseen in Hong Kong cinema!

Chan (Ekin Cheng) is now the rising star in the notorious Hung Hing society triad. By being honoured as "the guardian of Causeway Bay", Chan becomes the prime target of Crow and Tiger, two ambitious and ruthless "wise guys" from the rival gang. When Chan travels with his boss to Holland, he is set-up to take the fall for a vicious gangland hit on his boss and has to go into hiding with his long term girlfrien, Smartie (Gigi Lai).

When Crow (Roy Cheung) becomes the rival gang`s godfather, he kidnaps Smartie and holds her hostage. The police are on full alert, and gangland tension is on a knife edge. Chan must rescue Smartie and clear his name.
