Synopsis:
It`s the high-stakes, high-risk world of the drug trade as seen through a well-blended mix of interrelated stories: a Mexican policeman (Benicio Del Toro) finds himself and his partner caught in an often deadly web of corruption; a pair of DEA agents (Dona Cheadle and Luis Guzman) work undercover in a sordid and dangerous part of San Diego; a wealthy drug baron living in upscale, suburban America is arrested and learns how quickly his unknowing and pampered wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones) takes over his business; and the U.S. President`s new drug czar (Michael Douglas) must deal with his increasingly drug-addicted teenage daughter.

Steven Soderbergh does a good job putting the pieces together in traffic. The film is told with several stories that go together to make one with different view points.

The Mexico and the US are having illegal drugs transported and the use of drugs is increasing greatly. Many actors in the film are on different sides with different perspectives which helps keep the film interesting. Strong performances by Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Benicio Del Toro, Don Cheadle and Luis Guzman. This film shows the consequences of drugs and the genuine effects they have in our reality. One great aspect of the film is the way the scenes change for all the characters and the set looks different depending on what is being filmed. Great photography in this film.

Presented in 1.85:1 Widescreen. Looks fairly good and sharp throughout the entire movie.

Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround
Dolby Digital 2.0 English
This movie sounds good but nothing over the top.

The special features on this dvd are quite disappointing. None of the features are very good or out of the ordinary. Even the behind the scenes option doesn`t satisfy very well. Simply put, the features on this dvd are average and not anything too exciting

Overall I thought traffic was a good movie and it is definitely worth seeing at least once. The movie is unique the way it was put together which makes it quite watchable.
