Synopsis:
Part of a dance troupe in the indian film industry, Mili (Urmila) dreams of being a successful actress. Mili shares a close relationship with her friend Munna (Aamir Khan). Munna is a black cinema ticket salesman and lives in the brunt of Mumbai. The tapori has problems expressing his love to Mili. Together with her family all live and share a close knit relationship.

Meanwhile a famous bollywood star Rajkamal (Jackie Shorff) is stuck in shooting as the producer and director deal with a stuck up mummy`s girl actress which is halting production. The film is about to be shelved when Rajkamal discovers Mili. With the help of director Steven Kapoor (Gulshan Grover), both give her a screen test for the main lead. After a second attempt helped on by Munna, Mili gets the part.

Munna feels that this is the right time to ask her out but he begins to see that Mili is caught up with the glamour and rich world of Bollywood. This makes Munna feel left out of her life. To makes things worse the actor Rajkamal begins to fall in love with Mili enticing a love triangle Munna clearly sees.

What happens between the three characters forms the conclusion of the film...
