A nice and spicy romance story. Beautifully shot and accompanied with superb Brazilian music.
All the leads do a very nice and convincing job and the story, as simple as it is, never gets boring.
The video transfer is very good. There are no compression signs at all and all the different kinds of food are presented in great colors and detail. Too bad DVD systems don`t support smell as well. :)
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is ok. While there are no effects in the movie, the surrounds are used nicely on several occasions. The music is really nice (unless you have
something against Bossa Nova and Portuguese love songs).
The menus are nicely animated with sounds.
Unfortunately, the disk contains no extras features other than a trailer and some TV spots, which never count as extras.
Bottom line - a cute little movie which looks great, sounds great and probably smells and tastes great as well.
