Review for WWE TLC: Tables Ladders and Chairs 2010

TLC is the final PPV of 2010, a year that saw the rise of the Nexus, the retirement of HBK, return of Bret Hart and the emergence of Kane and Miz as the champions. This was a great PPV with some excellent matches throughout, some even surprisingly good.
Triple Threat Ladder Match for Intercontinental Championship
Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger
A great match, reminded me of a Money in the Bank match. Kofi proves himself to be a human highlight reel with some crazy moves throughout the match. The ending could have been better, but I understand why they did it.
Divas Tag Team Tables Match
Natalya & Beth Phoenix vs. Lay-Cool
A great Divas match? Ok, I won't go that far, but this actually wasn't that bad and certainly not as horrible as some. The sight of Natalya putting the Sharpshooter on both members of Lay-Cool was pretty cool.
WWE Tag Team Championship
Santi-Koz vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel
I just can't make my mind up. It was an OK match, it just felt like no one knew how to end it and so it resulted in a typical Nexus mess.
Ladder Match
John Morrison vs. Sheamus
A great ladder match. Morrison is very reminiscent of HBK in his performance and Sheamus surprised me in this match. One of the best one on one ladder matches I've seen in a while.
Tables Match for WWE Championship
Not the best tables match I've ever seen, but certainly proved that the Miz was a great sneaky champ. Despite the result, I really enjoyed the match.
TLC match for World Heavyweight Championship
Kane vs. Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio
This again had a Money in the Bank feel to it, but everyone worked so well in this match that I honestly would have been happy with anyone winning. Some great moments only let down by a far too obvious ending.
Chairs Match
John Cena vs. Wade Barrett
Oh My God! Best ending of a match ever! I'm not sure if it deserved to be higher than either of the two title matches, though I understand why they did it. Cena and Barrett work well together and Cena's performance throughout the PPV taking out the members of Nexus was great.
As an end to the year TLC was a great PPV. It is certainly one of the best PPVs of 2010. Even the Divas and Tag matches weren't so bad and I can't remember the last time I said that. A great PPV and for those who like matches with these stipulations (ladders, tables etc.) this PPV will be perfect.
