The `Halloween` series is by far the best of its genre to date. When I heard that the `Halloween 2` DVD disc had been released in the UK I was very excited. I`ve been a fan of the series from the very start (70`s). However I was disappointed to discover that this DVD has infact no special features, not even a trailer. It does include a "photo gallery" but in my opinion adding around ten poor quality photographs doesn`t make up for the disc having no added content. The USA version (region 1) is packed with special features, I just can`t understand why they didn`t bother with the UK version. On the other hand the film is excellent, and the visual and audio transfer is also of a reasonable standard. Although it isn`t shown in widescreen which is a shame. Also something else I thought was rather odd is that so far in the UK only `Halloween` 2,3,4,5 have been released on DVD all of which have no added content. Why have they not released the first? `Halloween` is a horror classic. Although overall if you`re a `Halloween` fan I reccommend you add this one to your collection.

I think original Halloween was awesome, and this sequel makes justice to the original. This should`ve been the final though, as the series is followed by several crappy sequels. but anyway...

Video: Horrible. Pan&Scan from 2.35:1 into 1.33:1, this is just unforgivable. And worst of all the image hasn`t even been re-mastered, and the quality looks like recorded from TV on a worn-out VHS. This is supposed to be DVD!

Audio: Now this one is a lot better. The dialogue is clear, but quality is equal to TV with it`s stereo sound.

Feautures: Great. There are no subtitles, not even a trailer, all we get is a photo gallery which sin`t even a "photo" gallery, just few pictures, even then most of them are there twice, only zoomed in/out.

Overall: Great film ruined by a horrible, horrible DVD release. Don`t get this one! If you already have it, burn it and get the new, better one!
