Review for NBA Street Series: Dunks 2
Dunks! I just love them!
They are possibly the funnest part of basketball and so here I have nearly two hours of it. This is where the problem lies.
I love the impact that a dunk can make and if I was watching a ten-fifteen minute highlight reel of dunks it would be perfect, but after those minutes I would start getting very, very bored at it. This is what happened. Though watching Kobe Bryant and LeBron James do this is still spectacular, after a few of them I just became desensitized to the point they longer mattered. If it was me creating this disk I would have split it into dunks and then maybe blocks just to have a variation as after a while I stopped caring and the constant interruptions by DJ Clue were just annoying and at times frankly embarrassing.
The extras are great. Including the Top Ten Dunks of 2004 and Clue's Top Five of all time. But after watching two hours of dunks, these little extras are a little redundant and maybe should have been incorporated into part of the main feature to make it a little more interesting.
Though I love dunks and I love the action that was presented, my advice would be to watch this disk in small doses and then you'll begin to appreciate the wonder that is the dunk.
