Review for NBA All-Star 2010

10 / 10

The NBA All-Stars game is almost like the best of the best of the NBA. I often wonder why other sports like football don't do something similar, when people talk about the best striker, goalie etc. However, this is exactly what happens with the NBA and it is glorious. The game is just about pride with the best of the West against the best of the East in just a wonderful game of basketball.

One of the things I have often said about the NBA basketball DVDs is that I wish they would actually include games for me to enjoy. Though I appreciate highlight reels and so on, when you have seen six slamdunks in a row you forget the circumstances surrounding the actual move and so the fact this includes the entire All-Star game is perfect. Last seasons winners, the West were looking to do exactly the same with player Kobe Bryant leading the charge against the East with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. When watching this game you can tell that you are watching that best that the NBA have to offer and I have never watched a more perfect game than this one. Granted, I'll probably say the same next year too.

The DVD also comes with some great extras from the All-Star weekend that really delves into what this game means for the players, the fans and even sometimes to the teams from which the players have come from.

NBA All-Stars is a DVD that all basketball fans should have, though they probably all have watched this numerous times and will not need me telling them that!
