Synopsis:
Now digitally restored for DVD, "Armour Of God" is an explosive, high-energy Indiana Jones style action adventure, which broke box office records all over Asia and firmly consolidated Jackie Chan`s position as "The World`s Number One Action Star".

Starring as the Asian Hawk, a bounty hunter and martial arts expert with an insatiable taste for adventure, Jackie is blackmailed by a mysterious cult leader into acquiring "The Armour Of God", a mystical artifact from the Dark Ages, which holds the key to unlimited power.

Combining action, romance and Chan`s trademark Keaton-esque comedy, "Armour Of God" is an explosive heart-pounding martial-arts extravaganza, which is internationally one of Jackie`s highest grossing films to date. Featuring a dazzling array or precision driving stunts, high-falls and explosive, high-energy fight action, this is one movie that is guaranteed to thrill from beginning to end.

Making this film very nearly cost Jackie his life, and the accident footage is included in the end credits. With an exclusive, re-mastered DVD transfer, and a selection of exciting `special features`, this is one title that no Chan fan will want to miss !

This is one of my favourite Jackie Chan films (although it was bettered by its sequal, Operation Condor), so when I heard HKL were releasing it I couldn`t wait to get my hands on a copy.

The picture is surprisingly crisp (the last time I saw this was on a tatty old VHS), and the sound (remixed to Dolby Digital 5.1) is very good, in either language.

There are the usual HKL extras, but this film stands out as being the one where Jackie nearly lost his life, but I suppose you could say that about most of his movies.
