Synopsis:
The Ultimate Fighting Championship made it's first trip to the Middle East when the Octagon touched down in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

With two title fights and a clash between two martial arts legends on the card the fans were treated to an excellent card in the oil-rich region.

Firstly pound-for-pound superstar Anderson 'The Spider' Silva put his UFC Middleweight title on the line against Brazilian jiu-jitsu wizard, Damian Maia.

Maia must get this fight to the ground at all costs in order to cause an upset and dethrone the champion. Silva, meanwhile, will be looking to break the record for most consecutive UFC title defences.

Also on the card Lightweight Champion BJ Penn faces off against top contender Frankie 'The Answer' Edgar. 'The Prodigy' has been on a tear since winning his title back at UFC 80, defeating Sean Sherk, Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez.

Does Edgar have 'The Answer' to Penn's dominance at lightweight? Or will BJ Penn continue his UFC legacy with a victory.

Hall of Famer Matt Hughes also takes to the Octagon to face the a member of the legendary Gracie family, Renzo Gracie. The most dominant welterweight of all time boasts a victory over another Gracie, the legendary Royce, and will look to add another Gracie scalp to his resume. Renzo will be looking to defend the family name against Hughes.
