this dvd does not contain much at all just the film and a few deleted scenes. it is also incompatable with most dvd players. only a hardy computer is upto the task. the manufacturers have been informed and have taken no action. the local stores are refusing to sell it as all 50+ copies sold have come back faulty

This is the first dvd that ive bought, so i guess im easily impressed!? i thought the effects were good, but was dissapointed that the baddie was so easily disposed of! (they useually last a bit longer than that. Overall, although the plot seems to have a lot in common with a few other movies, i liked it - i thought that the plot could have been a little deeper though

Not had any problems with this disc - it`s a shame the review above will change the ratings as I think it might just be a problem with low-end players *shrug*

anyway a strange film - incredible SFX and some very cool ideas (such as the best hyperspace jump EVER) but just plain ODD. Watching the deleted scenes it becomes apparent that this is a film hacked out of another film, which was even more quirky

A sci-fi of the "what`s the discovered relic?" type it`s a satisfying story and moves at a helluva pace leaving you feeling quite confused and unsure about why anything`s happening if you miss a beat.

would have been good to have the original version available too.

Pretty feeble really, I can`t see how Walter Hill would be intersted in material like this, I still can`t believe he directed it?
