Your Opinions and Comments
This movie has it all, good guys, bad guy(s), thrills, plot - everything.
The entire movie is wrapped inside a very hallucinated environment which is accompanied by some stunning visual effects and great artistic designs.
The video transfer is very good. The colors are mind blowing and the dark scenes are rendered beautifully. There are no signs of compression at all. Mind you, the layer change is awkwardly positioned.
The DD 5.1 soundtrack is very good. The surrounds and the sub are constantly used. The sounds are very crisp and the separation between the channels is great.
The menus are EXTREMELY good. They are all animated with sound and are, as is the movie itself, very artistic.
The extras include 2 commentaries (rather ordinary, but insightful), some deleted scenes (nothing special), a featurette about the art work (very nice), an alternate angle feature in 6 special effects sequences (awesome), and isolated score track and an interactive game and test (try it, it`s quite interesting, actually). All in all, the extras are wonderful.
Bottom line - this movie is not everyone`s cup of tea, but it is very impressive, both visually and artistically.
