Del is organising the annual beano to Margate, the traditional Jolly Boys` Outing. But Rodney and Cassandra have just celebrated their first wedding anniversary and she`s worried about him going out with the boys - especially as she`s angling for promotion with her yuppie boss. When Rodders is arrested and the whole party is stranded by a very nasty accident, her worst fears are realised.

But there`s more to Margate than chips, cookies, ice-cream, doughnuts, Pina Colada and lobster vindaloo. There`s magician The Great Raymondo and his assistant Raquel.

This is one of the best ever episode of only fools and horses. Basically the jolly boys outing is an annual lads trip to margate. Lots of fun with Del, Rodney, Trigger, Mike, Boycie, Mickey, Denzil and the gang. One of my favourite bits is in the beginning where Del is talking to Cassandra`s educated bank manager.
This is classic but somehow, 80 mins of a tv show just isnt worth paying full dvd price for. They could have had 2 tv specials on one disc or had some extra materials of somesort. Its just a waste of disc space. The quality of the picture and sound are not very superior. This is mainly to do with the fact that it is a TV show (low budgets). They seem to have remastered the print a little bit. The sound is clear although it is only a flat 2.0.
Like I said before, the release of this dvd isnt justifyable. The RRP is the same as a normal hollywood dvd and most of them last 90-150 mins and have a good print and extras. This is just the BBC trying to cheat people out of money. Purchase it if you absolutely must. If you see it on rental, or retailing very cheap, then I recommend buying it.
