Synopsis:
Exiled in disgrace, when a mission turns to tragedy, special forces agent Yem (Chiiu Man Chuk) is plunged into a game of deadly conflict with terrorist overlord Mishima (Andrew Lin), in a murky republic of the former Soviet Union. Locked in a battle of wills, the two men pursue each other relentlessly, drawing ever closer to the ultimate duel of unarmed combat, which only one man will survive!!

Your Opinions and Comments
The film is set in the fictional city of Lavernia, but no-one is bothered about the thin plot to do with politics and other non-sense - instead, just sit back and enjoy some fantastic action and well-choreographed fight scenes, which are of such high quality they make this film stand out from the hundreds of others being pumped out by Hong Kong each year.
Picture is good for most of the film, with the occasional let-down though, but it is from China so we can overlook that.
Audio for once is quite good, making good use of the rear speakers on the Dolby Pro Logic soundtrack on both the Cantonese and English versions. Effects are thrown across the front sound stage well, but it is never going to compare to a Dolby 5.1 soundtrack (or DTS come to think of it).
Extras are a little weaker than on other HKL discs - the video on the Chiu Man Chuk interview and the Wu Shu Showcase is terrible, and to make it worse it is French with English subtitles. There are of course the usual trailers and music promos to round the package off.
Buy it for the fantastic film. I look forward to new Chiu Man Chuk releases.
