Hilarious, touching and totally awesome. These are some of the best words to describe this movie. 100% enjoyable.
The notion of "free the animals" is very familiar to me (being a vegetarian) and this movie does it justice. The movie starts with a very creepy and WWII death camps atmosphere but soon moves to a lighter, funnier one.
The video transfer is perfect. You can only watch in awe how all the characters were animated. Obviously, the transfer is clean of scratches and blemishes.
The DTS (6.1, by the way) soundtrack and the DD 5.1 soundtrack are great. They both give out excellent performance from all the discrete channels and both use the surrounds to perfection. I could not find a real difference between the DTS and the DD 5.1 tracks other than the fact that the DTS was a bit louder.
The menus are all hilariously animated and contain parts of the movie.
The extras include a commentary (a rather regular, but interesting one), a nice look behind the scenes, a cute read-along (don`t look at it before watching the movie) and hilarious panic button (again - don`t press it before watching the movie in its entirety). Oh yeah, don`t miss trailer #2 - it made me laugh so much.
Bottom line - a great movie which I believe teenagers and adults would enjoy much more than kids. Don`t miss this one.
