Strip Nude for Your Killer

5 / 10

Introduction

There are some films that, just from the title and the opening, you know exactly what you're in for - Strip Nude for Your Killer is one of them. In just the first ten minutes of this, you get full-frontal nudity, sex and a brutal murder by someone in a motorcycle outfit!

When a model dies, her agency is targeted by a knife-wielding killer. With the police completely ineffective, it's up to photographer Carlo to discover the murderer's identity before he, too, becomes a victim.

Video

A decent transfer, with good contrast and suitably lurid colours - especially for the bright red blood! The camerawork is effective in creating tension, although the camera is clearly visible in one scene in a house full of mirrors!

Audio

A clear dub, presented in Dolby Digital 2.0 mono English, with a decent score complementing the camerawork.

Conclusion

Strip Nude for Your Killer is a typical Giallo: a simple story structured around a series of elaborate murders, with plenty of nudity and a costumed killer. Most of the flesh is completely gratuitous, not that anyone will complain and there's enough of a story and violence to stop it from being a trashy skin-flick.

There's plenty here to enjoy, despite it not being the most accomplished Giallo you'll ever see - there is a fantastic car sequence where Maurizio disobeys every traffic rule in a high-speed journey around the city, for no clear reason. The direction and screenplay are reasonable, though occasionally unintentionally funny, and the ending is satisfactory, but slightly odd, with a seemingly unresolved plot thread.

You know if you're in the target audience and, if you are, it's definitely one worth checking out.
