Synopsis:
Unquestionably the ultimate DVD collection for horror fans and trick-or-treaters this Halloween, the three-disc RISE OF THE FLESHEATERS - ZOMBIE BOX SET arrives just in time for All Hallows' Eve and unleashes a terrifying triple bill of undead mayhem in the form of three of the most original, inventive and fun zombie movies in recent memory.
A tasty three-course feast for flesheaters everywhere, the box set includes the critically acclaimed Brit horror THE ZOMBIE DIARIES, Jake Kennedy's apocalyptic DAYS OF DARKNESS and crowdpleasing horror-comedy, ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES.
Hailed as 'the best UK horror film of the year' by Gorezone magazine and as 'the most realistic zombie film ever made' by Twitchfilm.com, THE ZOMBIE DIARIES presents a horrific 'cinéma vérité' view of a dystopian world in which a viral plague is causing the dead to rise. The chilling reality of what is happening is documented in three separate video diaries that reveal in graphic and uncompromising detail, the true horror of a modern-day zombie apocalypse as it engulfs the UK. Dark and frighteningly real, THE ZOMBIE DIARIES is a genuine shocker that haunts the memory long after the credits have rolled.
A hit at LA's Screamfest in 2007, DAYS OF DARKNESS, the debut directorial feature from British ex-pat Jake Kennedy (Fangoria: Blood Drive II), is an inventive, entertaining and very gory hybrid of alien bodysnatcher movie and good old zombie flick. The plot concerns a disparate group of people - mysteriously unaffected by a killer extraterrestrial bug that has infected humanity - holed up in a remote compound under siege from a horde of undead human flesheaters intent on feeding on the last of the living. As night falls, the small group of human survivors - some sick, some dying and some slowly going mad - must overcome their differences and band together to fend off the grisly man-eaters in a last stand between the living and the dead.
A hilariously titillating gorefest of terror, the horror-comedy ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES pitches a small group of strippers against a ravenous bunch of flesheaters who are descending upon The Grindhouse Strip Club in search of more than just a lap dance. Armed with just a rifle, a chainsaw, some gardening tools and their wits, the girls prepare to do whatever it takes to make sure they stay off the club's menu. Combining 1970s exploitation excesses with the gratuitous blood and gore stylings of schlockmeister Herschell Gordon Lewis (Gore Gore Girls; Blood Feast; Two Thousand Maniacs) by way of Russ Meyer (Motor Psycho; Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!; Vixen!), ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES, ZOMBIES is a welcome slice of B-Movie Heaven.
