Synopsis:

THE definitive Blackadder. Picture quality is not as good as it could have been, but an improvement over the original Blackadder.

Well I have to say I`m a big fan of BlackAdder, and the series peaked for me somwehere between series 2 and 3. However I`ll watch any of them.

I bought Blackadder I region 2, and then this disk. Then noticed that BBC Worldwide were releasing region 1 version, which all have extras on them, and even some stuff read by Tony Robinson, and some interesting notes.

I was really cross I`d laid out the money on the region-2 ones then. I mean - the BBC made the series, but can`t be bothered to put extras on, but can for foreign markets...

Series 2 is really where Blackadder comes into it's own. Series 1 was good and everything, but this is just magical. Ben Elton (who I'm a big fan of) takes over the co-writing from Rowan Atkinson and the result is just brilliant.

Disc-wise, things are still a little disappointing, video quality is OK, but not great and there are absolutely no extras (unlike the R1 version)!!! This is very very disappointing!

Still, it is worth the purchase on content alone! Comedy at its best!
