Review of Los Super Seven: Live No Borders
Introduction
Let me start by saying that I have never heard of Los Super Seven before. It is not s brand or type of music that I would listen to on a regular basis, so this review will be purely related to the DVD itself and it`s merits or detriments.
Video
It must be said that the video on this disc is superb. It is a full screen image but the colours and sharpness are excellent.
It is well lit and the transfer is a work of art, with absolutely no interference of any kind on the picture.
Edges are sharp and nicely defined with no bleeding of colours and the transitions from light to dark scenes, such as from interviews to live performances are handled without problem.
Audio
This disc boasts a DD 5.1 audio track and good use is made of it. The songs are powerfully presented to the viewer with all the speakers being used, not just the front stage.
The interview sections are firmly planted to the screen with the centre speaker, but the music segments are much more expansive. A joy to listen to, even though the subject matter is not really my cup of tea.
Features
The disc contains a couple of histories of Los Super Seven, as well as the usual scene access.
Conclusion
This is a very good disc, which would make an excellent addition to the collection of a fan of these performers.
The video is excellent as well as the audio, a combination that is not yet the norm on the format.
To followers of the music, a hearty recommendation.
