Unique zombie drama In The Flesh comes to DVD and Blu-ray this May
If you thought there couldn't be anything original in the zombie genre, then you have been wrong. BBC Worldwide have announced the release of In The Flesh: Series 1 & 2 for 26th May on both DVD and Blu-ray.
Starring Luke Newberry, this drama release contains both series and will feature a recommended retail price of £20.42 for the standard definition release, and £25.52 for the HD version.
Synopsis and trailer follow...
In The Flesh tells the story of zombie teenager Kieren Walker and his reintegration back into both the local community and the heart of his family. After his death four years ago, his friends and family thought they’d never see Kieren again.
But shortly after his funeral, thousands of the dead were re-animated; and now, after months of rehabilitation and medication, the zombies have been reclassified as PDS sufferers (Partially Deceased Syndrome) and are gradually being returned to their homes.
Series one sees Kieren return to his home in the rural village of Roarton where he is forced to confront his family, the community that rejected him and the flashbacks that continue to haunt him of what he did in his untreated state.
While series two revisits the cauldron of Roarton where the living and the undead have reached a fragile peace. After the shocking events of series one, Kieren is hoping to get on with his second life but the arrival of new and explosive characters throws those plans into disarray. Battle lines are drawn and all will be judged.
