There was something about British flicks in the late 60s and early 70s which produced a certain type of feature that wouldn't be made today. And Network Distributing are bringing us one of these as part of The British Film collection.

All Neat in Black Stockings is part bawdy romp, part kitchen sink drama and apparently did quite well at the box office. It stars Victor Henry, Susan George and Jack Shepherd, and is presented in a brand new transfer from the original elements in its original 1.75:1 aspect ratio.

With a runtime of 95 minutes, the recommended retail price will be £9.99.

Synopsis but alas no trailer follow...

This is a bold intermingling of sexual adventure, humour and tender love story instantly caught audience’s imaginations, its evocation of London’s dingy back-street pubs and dubious characters marking it out as a cult classic.

Ginger shares most things in life with his friend, Dwyer, including girls. Then, he sees the beautiful Jill, all neat in black stockings, in a south London pub. Her obvious innocence moves him, and he feels unable to make his usual approach. He realises that she is not only desirable, but also something very special.
