British drama The Selfish Giant comes to DVD and Blu-ray in January
What better than to lead us into the weekend than a British film drama from second time director Clio Barnard? Artificial Eye have announced the release of The Selfish Giant for 27th January, on DVD and Blu-ray.
Starring Connor Chapman, Shaun Thomas and Sean Gilder, this has a runtime of 91 minutes, carries a 15 certificate, and extras will include interviews with the director and cast, deleted scenes, alternate ending and trailer.
The recommended retail price will be £15.99 for the standard definition release, and £19.99 for the high-def version.

The Selfish Giant is a contemporary fable about 14-year-old Arbor and his best friend Swifty. Excluded from school, and outsiders in their own community, the boys meet Kitten, a local scrapman, and begin collecting scrap metal for him using a horse and cart.
Swifty has a natural gift with horses and Arbor has a business brain and a way with words, they make a good team. But when Arbor begins to emulate Kitten by becoming greedy and exploitative, tensions build, leading to a tragic event which transforms them all irrevocably.
