Kate Bosworth is hunted in Black Rock out on DVD this September

It's the weekend, which can only mean one thing, dark and stormy weather. So what better accompaniment to the great British weather than a horror thriller about women being hunted on an island? Out on DVD this coming 23rd September courtesy of Metrodome Distribution is just that.

Black Rock stars Kate Bosworth, Katie Aselton and Lake Bell, has a 15 certificate and a runtime of 80 minutes. It also carries a recommended retail price of £17.99.

Three young women, Sarah, Abby and Lou, get together for a private campout at one of the iconic settings of their childhood, an empty island off the coast of Maine, to renew their bond of sisterhood. They quickly learn, though, that the island is anything but empty, when they encounter three recently-returned servicemen, who have come to the island to hunt.

A misunderstanding quickly turns to tragedy, and the three women soon find themselves the targets of the hunt. What started as a simple playdate to recall old times is now a race for survival.
