Romantic drama Summer in February arrives on DVD this October
What better way to ease yourself into the cold summer months than a romantic drama? Metrodome Distribution think so anyway, as they've announced the release of Summer in February on DVD for 14th October.
Directed by Christopher Menaul with a screenplay written by Jonathan Smith based on his 1995 novel, this stars Dan Stevens, Dominic Cooper, Emily Browning and Harriet Morahan.
With a 15 certificate and runtime of 93 mins, extras will include interviews with the director, David Evans, Cooper, Browning and Smith, plus a behind-the-scenes on-set montage with talking head interviews. Expect an RRP of around £14.99.
Synopsis and trailer follow...
The film is the intimate, enchanting true story of young, vibrant souls navigating their way through love, passion and friendship in the picturesque landscape of early twentieth century England.
It focuses on the wild and bohemian Lamorna Group, dominated by the charismatic AJ Munnings. The incendiary anti-Modernist Munnings, now regarded as one of Britain’s most sought-after artists, is at the heart of the complex love triangle, involving the young aspiring painter Florence Carter-Wood and Gilbert Evans, the land agent in charge of the Lamorna estate.
The story is played out against the timeless beauty of the Cornish coast, in the far West of England, beyond the reach of London and its stifling conventions.
