Review for WWE: Live in the UK November 2012
For a while now I have been saying that I don't understand why WWE still release these live events on DVD. If you weren't at the event, or are not a huge (and I mean must own everything huge) fan, then I don't know why you would want to own a set that has a random Raw, Smackdown, Superstars and Main Event on it.
This one, however? I have to say that they have at least listened to me when I have said that we would still need more to actually want to watch it. As well as including the Main Event show that is exclusive to this DVD (again take that as you will, but it is pretty nat), it also includes two WWE Championship matches that took place in the UK. What's so great about that?
Well... do you smell what I'm cooking?
Yes, this includes The Rock vs. X-Pac from 1998's Capital Carnage which was a great match when The Rock was The Corporate Champion and so great in that role.
What's that? It's not enough to want to buy it.
Well... How about THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR and RANDY MACHO MAN SAVAGE?
OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!
To be honest, as soon as I saw that, I didn't really care what the rest of the set included and as I say, unless you were there I can't imagine wanting to watch a random episode in which really nothing happens (unless you purchase this alongside the Survivor Series DVD that the shows are building up to). All I cared about was watching these two classics. Odd that on other sites it only advertises that The Rock/X-Pac match is on it?
However, there are some good matches including a great match between CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler against John Cena and Ryback, a Falls Count Anywhere match between Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio and a pretty good match between Kofi Kingston and The Miz. Though that is a few great gems in the middle of a lot of filler which over the two disks doesn't make this a must have item. If you were any of the events it is a great way to relive what you may have only seen from the crowd, but if you do like a mix of the new generation and some classic WWE action it is a great pick for you.
