Review for WWE Money in the Bank 2012
Money in the Bank 2012 is once again a PPV in which the show is stolen by CM Punk. Once again his opponent is Daniel Bryan and I almost felt like this would be boring or a rehash of the previous PPV match. In a way it is, but that is not to say that it is not awesome too.
Watching these two people wrestle is almost like watching the epic series of matches between Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat and although I feel that this match should have been saved for something more prominent like Summerslam or Wrestlemania I would not argue if I had to watch this match on every PPV for the rest of the year.
The two Money in the Bank matches would be fine, except of course the packaging. You see that? John Cena holding the briefcase in victory? No point watching that match if you don't know who won. Each of these matches were fine and much like every year having two on the night hurts the prominence of the match because it feels like they are rationing out the spots between the two. Both have some great action and the winner of the other one, who isn't on the cover, though I did expect him to be on the back cover was a good choice and hopefully that leads to some great matches later on.
A random tag match between Primo and Epico against The Prime Time Players was ok, as was a six Diva tag match which though wasn't fantastic, certainly wasn't the awful match I expect from them. Maybe it's seeing Eve, Layla and Kaitlyn in one place. Sheamus against Alberto Del Rio was fine, though I still don't see the appeal in Del Rio and until someone can explain it to me I probably never will. Ryback had another squash against Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks which seemed to be just another way for the crew to prepare for the next match.
It would be difficult to follow last year's amazing Money in the Bank PPV, but this is certainly a great ay of trying. Both Money in the Banks were fine and even the two tag matches were better than I expected. Once again, the main reason for everyone to purchase this DVD is to watch two of the best in the world wrestling a match that it is rare to see in this sports entertainment world, but it is certainly something to cherish.
