Review for NBA All-Star Special 2011

Basketball fans will have already watched this game, but you will be undoubtedly want to relive it. This year's game was full of thrills and spills and just as good as last year's game. The NBA All-Star 2011 DVD is certainly a disk that all basketball fans should own.NBA All-Star 2011 is the highlight of the NBA calendar. It is surprising that other sports don't try and do something like this. The match pits the best (as voted by the fans) of the East Conference against the best of the West Conference for an epic battle. Taking place at Los Angeles' Staples Centre, home of the LA Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, this saw the like of Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul and Kevin Durant from the west taking on LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Dwight Howard from the east. Last year the East won a narrow victory and so it was time for the west to fight back. As with all All-Star games, this is just a game filled with skill, action and spills and the whole thing is here on the DVD. It seems obvious to say that the stars of the game were Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, but it is difficult not to. Both players are just phenomenal in this game and proved just why they are both described as the best the NBA has to offer today. Though the rest of the players are also amazing and this truly is the best that the entire NBA has to offer. Also included is a number of extra features including behind the scenes footage and highlights from the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest, which I wish they would have included in full as it is almost as great as the game itself. There is also a look at the Foot Locker 3-Point Shootout and Rookie Challenge highlights. It is odd that they don't stretch this to two disks and include everything, but maybe that's just me being greedy.
