Review for WWE Tagged Classics: The Rock: The Peoples Champ / Just Bring It
This set brings together two classic The Rock DVDs which cover his early part of his career before Hollywood came a-calling. Both benefit from not having the WWF signs censored and this makes viewing a lot more comfortable. The first disk, The People's Champ covers his career from King of the Ring 1999 to Royal Rumbel 2000. and then the second disk, Just Bring It covers his time from King of the Ring 2000 to Summerslam 2001.
Both DVDs consist of ninety minutes of The Rock career covering his partnership with Manking in The Rock and Sock Connection, feud with the Undertaker, Booker T, Kurt Angle and of course his feud and match with Stone Cold at Wrestlemania 17 and the aftermath. It also covers The Rock's appearance in The Mummy Returns and star turn in The Scorpion King.
Both DVDs feature many extras, including a vast amount of The Rock's most memorable promos and also features three matches against Kurt Angle, Booker T and Shane McMahon. It is a shame that more from his Royal Rumble win was not included or his match against Stone Cold at Wrestlemania 17.
This set is perfect for fans of The Rock and if you already his own his boxset (which you should), this is a great addition and fills in a lot of the blanks of his career. However, I do feel that maybe if a few extra matches were included it would have made it more a 'must buy' item. But if you are a fan of The Rock it doesn't matter what I think... Just Buy It!!!
