D. Gray-Man Competition and Manga News!
First The Competition
It's been a while since we've had a competition, but we can belatedly kick off 2010 in some style, as we have three copies of Manga Entertainment's latest shonen acquisition to give away. D. Gray-Man is the story of an orphan turned exorcist who battles to keep the world safe against those nefarious demons, and the evil mastermind who wants to use them to destroy humanity, The Millennium Earl. The first 13 episodes are released on the 22nd of February, 2010, and you can be in with a chance of getting them by just answering a question.

And Now The News
Manga Entertainment have been twittering away like there's no tomorrow, and they've had a whole lot of licence announcements and news snippets to impart. Fortunately there is always someone other than me willing to read these tweets and make sense of them, so I don't have to. I just went to Mania to find out what was happening. To whit, or rather to twit…
"OK, it's official. Manga has picked up Kamui Gaiden for release on DVD and Blu-ray on 2nd August. Hopefully a theatrical run in late June!"
"And Manga has acquired Sengoku Basara (Samurai Kings) episodes 1-11 for release on DVD on 4th October. Should be streaming before then."
"FMA Brotherhood Episodes 1-13 is also now officially scheduled for release on DVD on 23rd August. Free streaming on www.manga.co.uk soon."
"God it is a big news day today! By popular demand, "Ah! My Goddess Season 2" will be released in 3 2-disc sets: May, Jul, Sep."
I haven't heard of Kamui Gaiden before, or Sengoku Basara, although Kamui Gaiden looks as of it will bolster Manga's expanding live action catalogue. Sengoku Basara looks like a typical Manga title too, samurai, swords and battles. Everyone has heard of Full Metal Alchemist, and Manga have been tooting about Brotherhood for a good while now, so it's nice to finally have a date for the discs. The big surprise here is their licence rescue of Ah My Goddess: Flights of Fancy. This was the title that ADV released one volume of, and then went kaput. AMG has a big presence in the UK, with the OVAs, Mini Goddess Series, and the 1st series all available here. All that was missing was Season 2, and I had a little whinge about it when Manga licence rescued ADV's Guyver. It's nice to know that I'm popular demand.
