BRAVIA Internet Video lets you watch the programmes you missed via popular 'catch-up' TV services. Catch-up TV is one of the UKs fastest growing trends - it means you can forget the family arguments over the remote control and enjoy full-screen re-runs of your favourite TV shows at times that suit you. Beginning in early 2010 with 'Demand Five'™, viewers will be able to access whole episodes of their favourite series' from Five.
Sony is also proud to announce its partnership with LOVEFiLM™ in
delivering both video on demand and the ability to access your rental
queue from the comfort of your armchair. There's also a whole world of
entertainment to explore from YouTube™ and many more. There's no need
to hook up your PC or watch on a cramped screen; you can quickly access
new videos and services as they're added and stream full-screen content
direct to your TV.
To ensure you can still enjoy lower resolution video on your large screen TV, a Blu-ray Disc Player like the BDP-S570 offers IP Content Noise Reduction to improve the picture quality by creating sharper image edges and more impactful colours.
An Entertainment Database Browser, using technology from Gracenote®, also allows you to browse details like actor and production information from a Blu-ray Disc and access related content found on BRAVIA Internet Video.
Discover a whole new viewing dimension
Blu-ray entertainment has now moved into a whole new dimension. A Blu-ray Disc Player like the BDP-S770 is fully ready to play Blu-ray 3D™ movies on a 3D enabled TV.
Forget about blurry, coloured pictures and cut-out cardboard glasses. The 3D world created by Sony uses the high frame rate of the 200Hz technology and Active Shutter glasses to create incredibly realistic depth and vivid Full HD 3D images.
With an increasing number of movies and music concerts filmed in 3D, plus new TVs like the BRAVIA LX900 incorporating the latest 3D technology, you'll truly feel like you're in the middle of the action in your living room.
Share movies, music and photos from around the house
New Blu-ray Disc Players from Sony, such as the BDP-S370, are now DLNA enabled following a firmware update. It gives you even more entertainment possibilities around the home.
DLNA compatibility means a new Blu-ray Disc Player from Sony can 'talk' to other compatible DLNA devices such as a phone, laptop or music player and play their stored content on your TV, no matter where at home the device is located.
You can also easily plug an external Hard Disk Drive or USB device into the front USB port of the BDP-S370 and enjoy stored movies, music or photos through your TV or home cinema system. With new Blu-ray Disc Players now able to play a larger range of file types, including DivX HD and MKV format, it's easier than ever to share personal entertainment from all over the home.
