DivX and Denon Introduce New DivX® HD Certified Blu-ray Player to European Market

Consumers can enjoy DivX HD 1080p video from their PC on their TV

San Diego, CA and Nettetal, Germany - September 03, 2009 - DivX, Inc. (NASDAQ:DIVX), a digital media company, and Denon, one of the world's premier manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment components, today announced the European launch of two new DivX HD Certified Blu-ray disc players, the DBP-2010 and DBP-1610. Denon's new Blu-ray players are designed for today's most advanced home entertainment systems and delivers playback of high-definition DivX video at resolutions up to 1080p.

DivX technology enables consumers to take high-quality personal video, Internet video, and premium movie content from their PC and enjoy it on a variety of DivX Certified® consumer electronics devices. Typical HD video requires a considerable amount of digital storage space, but DivX HD video technology provides a superior media experience by maintaining the highest visual quality while significantly reducing the file size of the video. Using DivX technology, a full-length HD movie is able to fit on a DVD and can be played back on any DivX HD Certified product.

"We are excited to bring the benefit of DivX high-definition 1080p video to our new Blu-ray product," said Achim Schulz at Denon Europe. "Our DivX HD Certified Blu-ray players deliver a high-quality HD media experience."

"Denon has long been known for developing innovative products, and we're pleased that they chose to add support for DivX HD, maximizing the digital media playback for consumers," said Kevin Hell, Chief Executive Officer at DivX. "With DivX HD Certified devices from innovative brands such as Denon, we continue to expand our market position in the emerging Blu-ray category."
Products that bear the DivX Certified logo have undergone a rigorous testing program to ensure a high-quality DivX media experience, including reliable video creation and playback, interoperability with other DivX Certified devices and the visual quality users expect from DivX.
